Anilox Laser Technology Requirements
Anilox Laser Technology (ALT) is an innovative, industry-leading manufacturer in the print and packaging industry. In February 2021, OKEL had successfully installed a Winterwarm natural-gas-fired heating solution in ALT’s factory.
As we moved into the following winter, ALT contacted OKEL looking to introduce a similar factory heating solution into a neighbouring premises.
However, this site had some unique limitations. The existing gas meter did not have sufficient spare capacity to accommodate an additional natural-gas-fired heater. A meter upgrade would be a lengthy process, and with the cold weather posing immediate challenges, time was not on ALT’s side.
In this circumstance, our expert team needed to find a solution that would work with the site’s existing limitations.
OKEL’s Solution
After OKEL had established that a natural gas warm air heating system would not be suitable, we subsequently suggested the introduction of an external LPG bulk storage facility.
However, limited space at the exterior of the premises meant that it wasn’t possible to introduce an external LPG storage tank, as this would take up valuable car parking space for staff and visitors.
Having ruled out both natural gas and LPG for the reasons above, OKEL suggested the introduction of Winterwarm’s recently launched EH40 3-phase electric air heater – the electric air heater works in a very similar way as its gas fired equivalent heater that we had installed previously for the customer and with the added advantage of the same familiar MTC controller system to maximise the efficiency of the new heating system.
Commercial Boiler Installation and Hand Over
The new 3-phase EH air heater was installed promptly and successfully in December 2021. As a result, the customer was able to benefit from the new heating system in the cold winter months to follow.
